We are looking for a skilled Community Manager to support one of our most high-profile programs: Google’s Trusted Tester initiative.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Community Manager to oversee and engage with our community of product testers. This is a contractor role for 3 months with required US timezone overlap. The ideal candidate is an exceptional content writer with a strong grasp of tech and AI topics, and has experience fostering healthy, productive online communities.
Key Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Act as the primary Manager for a large community of testers participating in Google’s Trusted Tester program.
- Draft, edit, and publish clear and engaging content to guide, update, and support community members.
- Ensure conversations remain productive, respectful, and on-topic, while enforcing community guidelines.
- Escalate issues, trends, or feedback from the community to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with research and operations teams to ensure smooth tester onboarding, engagement, and retention.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve communication, resources, and community experience.
Basic Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in content writing with the ability to translate technical or AI-related concepts into clear, accessible language.
- Prior experience in community moderation, online forums, or tester programs.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and interpersonal.
- Comfortable balancing empathy for community members with the enforcement of program rules.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple threads, requests, and updates simultaneously.
- US timezone overlap required.
Preferred Qualifications
Nice to Have
- Experience with user research, testing programs, or UX communities.
- Familiarity with community management platforms (e.g., Discord, Slack, forums, or proprietary tools).
- Understanding of product testing cycles and how participant insights contribute to product development.
